» General Information:
The ZERMA PM series of compact pulverizers are high speed, precision grinders for the processing of medium
hard, impact resistant and friable materials.Typical applications are the pulverizing of plastic profile, tube,
edge trim materials, film waste and also products from the food, chemical and pharmaceutical industry.
The material to be pulverized is introduced through the centre of a vertically fixed grinding disc which is
mounted concentrically with an identical high speed rotating disc.
Centrifugal force carries the material through the grinding area and the resulting powder is collected with a blower and cyclone system.
The ZERMA PM range has several technical advantages over the competition, which ensure increased performance and superior operation.

Few expenses on worn out parts:
The two-piece design ensures limited wearing part costs because normally only the outer discs
must be resharpened or changed.
The wearing parts can be changed without time consumption for fitting or dismantling of machine parts.
Reduced mechanical work:
Use of the newest bearing technology with special bearings permits correspondingly high speeds. Therefore, it is possible to pass up on a contra-rotating method of operation and the two associated drive motors. This significantly reduces the amount of time involved in mechanical and control engineering.
Low drive power - High throughput:
The high peripheral speeds and a highly effective impact crushing effect ensure the smallest amount of drive power, combined with a high throughput performance.
Simple adjustment of the cutting gap:
The milling gap between the discs is easily set outside the pulverizer with adjusting bolts
using a feeler gauge.
This means very simple adjustment as well as exact milling gap so that a fineness
< 1000 micron can be achieved without using a screen or additional screening machine.
No unnecessary dwell time:
The particular advantages are a small cross section of the grinding chamber, the almost flat disc
and the vertical positioning of these grinding discs.
The material is caught and reduced immediately upon entering the grinding chamber.
This eliminates the surging of temperature increases thus affording higher throughputs.
